The CNC battery and servo drive battery should be regularly checked and changed periodically to preserve the contents of the memory. The batteries allow back-up of both CNC and servo drive data. When low battery voltage is activated, loss of CNC and servo drive programs, offsets and parameters will be noticed within a week. So spare FANUC batteries should be kept here and now in readiness for when it happens.
